Hey everyone,
Brief history and then my question. 9 years ago when I made magic more than a just a little hobby I had the honor of seeing Tim Conover in a small lecture he did for a buddy of his at the local magic club. Its that lecture that stands out in my mind as the "moment" that started it all for me, I haven't been the same since as far as my drive to get better at our craft. That being said there were three effect Tim did that night that he said were his, one of which resembled a three fly effect but was just mind blowingly better than anything I've seen. To this day I have held people in awe just in describing what I saw to them. My question is does anyone know of any info about this effect or has anyone seen it? Also apart from the John Kennedy mind power deck, does anyone know of any effects that Tim has helped with or any effects he has written/released by himself? And Tim, if you read this thank you you have no idea what that little hour or so lecture did for me 9 years ago. Adam |

Tim is unquestionably one of the very best! He is a true living legend. Unfortunately he doesn't really publish...we can only hope and wait for the day that he decides to release some of his miracles!!!

Tim has not published any of his material to date.
Are you familiar with Ramsay's "Three Coins in the Hat"? Tim may have done a variation of this nine years ago if it was "like" a three fly effect. Where was the lecture? The next time I talk to Tim I will ask him if he remembers. |

Tim performed at the Magic Live convention in August...sadly I could not really see! I could however hear his voice...It was driving me mad!!!Those of you who attended will know what I mean, repeatedly saying "Magic Magazine the largest indipendant magazine for magicians" (he was in a trade show setting).
It was a real shame that I couldn't see because everything I have heard about him has been really complimentary. He performed an effect with a crystal ball, and a version of Ramsay's Cylinder and Coins. Owen |

Scotty York's "Revolutionary Routines with Aces" contains a routine that Tim collaborated on. Denny & Lee's magic shop sells it.
And congrats on being "electrified" by the best. I had the same experience about 25 years ago when I was a young teenager at Al's Magic Shop and Tim was an "old" teenager who did a small show (no explanations; performance only) for the junior magicians club that Al sponsored. |

His cylinder and coins routine is good. Very good. Fooled me with it.

Last year at a small gathering Tim blew us away with his coin work. The moves he used were nothing earth shattering, but his routining and attention to details made us believe that those *** coins were really disappearing.

Having seen Tim many times at Trade Shows, I too am impressed with his card and mentalism work. Great guy who has been very open with his help.
I saw a Tom Mullica Reunion tape that shows a very young Tim doing the coins and cylender. Amazing! |
