A friend's 7 year old daughter has an interest in magic and I wanted to get her something for her birthday. After thinking about it, I'm a little stumped on what to get her since most magic gimmicks aren't very interesting to look at unless you know how to make them work.
Any suggestions would be appreciated since her birthday is this coming Saturday 12/11. Thanks Felixjr |

What about a magic kit? Many of them are made for young children and they offer a variety of magical things some of which may catch her interest.

A good magic book for young folks.

RJE,
A magic kit would be good, any recommendations? Or what about one or two simple tricks? Felixjr |

It really depends on how much you want to spend. A kit would probably be best. Fantasma has some good looking magic kits out right now.
If you don't want to buy a whole kit then a couple of simple tricks that are easy to learn would be a Magic Coin Slide or a Ball Vase. Royal Magic or Adams Magic make very inexpensive versions of these tricks. Another single trick that I like for the younger kids is Nickels To Dimes. Regan

Felixjr,
Either the simple tricks or kit would probalby be fine. I thought of the kit first because of the variety it will offer. Probably not every trick will appeal to her but hopefully there will be one or two that will. Also, with the kit, she can put it away for a time and always come back to it for something new. As to which one to get, I'm afraid I'm not up on what is currently available. Check with a local shop or online and see what they have to offer in your price/comfort range. Good luck! Rob |

Fastama is good. The tricks are of quality. I saw one magic set that has MIRROR BOX. Go check it out.
