@Justin: The escape artist who performed the sword box and came out of it in a clown costume is called Hans Moretti. He is from Germany. http://www.moretti.de there you can find information about him and also pictures of the illusion.

I think David's biggest mistake was to use "Creative Editing" in a manner that allowed several different illusions to be culminated into what seemed like a single effect to the TV audience. But then, there was that little glich. How the audience seemed to change with each camera angle (see the Statute of Liberty special and the levitation he does.) I loathe how David has "legitimized" the concept of Creative Editing. Then again, it's benefited the other, less professional guy named David as well. Even let's him do card tricks and look better than Marlo. |

I call the Grand Canyon cheating because there were not a single live audience on location. Otherwise it's acceptable!

Hi
DCs Grand Canyon was laughable in that the TV audience were not fooled at any point. Great illusions that we all can do for little cost:- 1. Zig Zag - I have done it in the round on a night club dance floor. 2. Interlude - Its simple but has a WOW effect. 3. Knife in arm - packs small play big - I leave the stage and get into the audience with this one - If you don't get screams then you are doing it wrong. 4. Impaled - my version - no assistants for the on and off. Lots of blood and assistants in the wings with water pistols that spray the audience when the inpale happens. 5. Crystal sub trunk - Not as quick as the Pendragons but plays big. 6. Outdoor illusion - tripple burning rope straight jacket escape. DC's Buzz saw is great in all respects. But I love DC's flying. DC flying is the best. Takes the what we thought was flying and taken it to the next level. That is what is so great about DC. Always making things look new for todays audience.
I love Franz Haray dissappearing the Taja Mah Hall. I don't know how to spell that dang place. But I think you know what I mean. That just blows me away. Kudus Franz Michael

Is interlude looks as good on a skinny person?
How about magician getting stuck between two trees and the girl penetrates through. Do you guys think it's impressive? |
