This is just an observation which I'll share in case it can be of any use to fellow Euro users.
The Argentinian peso is an exact colour inversion of the 1 euro coin, and is the same size. Its heads side has a very pretty drawing of the sun, the tails side is a normal shield. It also fits perfectly inside the [ of the Gibson euro Coin Unique allowing you to perform the traditional s&s with it. http://www.easybuenosairescity.com/fotos/$1b.JPG It's not ferromagnetic so you can use it under a [ for the Raven in quick transformations. Yes, the Aregtine peso is pretty.
Some of the older Argentine coins are quite nice, too. Assorted sizes and metals. I haven't dragged the two pesos out to compare sizes, so I'm basing this on memory: But have you tried using a "new" Mexican peso? (I think the Mexican peso is the same size as a U.S. five cent piece.) |

I have a few Mexican dollars. The Mexican 2 dollar coins are exactly the same size as the Argentine peso, just a little thinner, and have the same colour scheme.
I also have two old Brazilian reis from 1902 which are approximately the size of American half dollars. I have some fun with those. Many countries produce fine shells and other gaffs but cannot advertise the fact because it's illegal to make them (Japan, Australia, etc). I may start a collection of outlawed coinage one day! |
