Instead of searching reviews, perhaps you could go to a local magic shop and ask them to recommend some products?
Or, you could contact a magic shop and tell them what you are looking for (what type of effect and if you have a certain effect in mind, ask them if it matches your requirements). Any magic shop that has good customer service should be glad to recommend a suitable effect for you. |

I've never found a website that comes close to The Café in terms of comprehensiveness of reviews. In this respect alone, apart from lots of other great things about it, The Café is IMHO an unequalled international treasure.
In second place I'd go with MyLovelyAssistant.com, a very good site.

Penguins Magic Forum - for in depth seriously discussed reviews of truly great magic like the stealth or bendable pen etc...
Of course - if you prefer one liners like - get it! it rocks! they'll freak out with this one! - then the Café' is the place for you.... :) isn't sarcasm a truly wonderful thing
catch you later

Hello:
I have found the Café to be the most helpful. The MagicTalk section is okay, but seems to have run out of steam long ago. I never go to on-line Visions anymore; I quickly found out that it is "good ole boys" network. They give everything of Kenton Kneeper's a 10 out of 10 (I'm not a Kenton fan at all) and most of the other reviews I have found to be unhelpful to me. It's true that you have to wade through a lot of "It's killer!" reviews, but there is some VERY helpful information here. I just purchased Wonderland Bill based on reviews here, and am very happy with my purchase. Ron |
