Richards books are without a doubt some of the best material out there for mentalists. His cold reading material is one of the best!! I highly recommend any of his books.
I happened to be part of a TV special a few years back and Richard performed his brilliant Book Test (that he sells ... the Dictionary Test) and it was the highlight of the show. I use it myself on crusie ships!! Paul Romhany http://www.chaplinmagic.com

Recently acquired a copy of Richard's book test on eBay. Given the relatively price and lack of apparent interest from other users, I wasn't expecting much. I took a punt and I'm exceedingly glad I did. It's a delightful routine and one I intend to start using immediately. The book itself is extremely deceptive (I flicked through for a good while before arriving on the secret).
My only question for anyone who still uses it: do your audiences ever question the slightly idiosyncratic cover? In the UK most audiences today would probably expect a Collins or Oxford dictionary (if they still know what a dictionary is). Has anyone bothered changing covers? |
