Keyword was ROPE. I created a search under FANTASY, MYTHICAL & MAGIC. If you are new to eBay perhaps you are not aware that it's easy to create searches for any of your interests. eBay will alert you via email for newly posted items based on your search criteria.

Don't expect to find the Walking Knot at $40! I was lucky on that. But every once in awhile you can find a bargain or pick up something you thought was no longer available at a reasonable price.

There are endless possibilities for your searches. I have a standing search for SUPREME and MAGIC WELDING for my longtime quest for that trick.

I just thought of a freaky presentation idea for this. You have two stands (or a mike stand and a chair?) The mike stand is center stage, the chair stage left.

You tie the rope across... then you get about 3-4 feet from the mike stand. Cut the rope as usual, then tie it together.

Then you say... "Keep track of where I cut it... on YOUR left... watch."

Now you pick up the chair and walk over to the other side, set chair down and ask, "What side was the cut?" "The left" they say... you slide the know over to 3-4 feet from the chair and untie it. Show separate pieces, tie back together, move chair back to original spot the slide know back to start position, but instead of untieing to show... restore rope by vanishing the knot.

I also think, if you have an assistant you could have the end held, and as a pre-bit do a jump rope segment.

Are both the same thickness? I've seen this performed with a very thick rope.

I bought one (I guess the simplified - it was about $80 if I remember right) and what came to me was a thin piece of cheap, stiff rope. Also the gimmicks were very poorly painted. It was such junk I sent it back. Not sure what happened, I expected quality. Maybe a knock-off??? Mr Tillford refunded my money; but was not very nice about it.

What you purchased was probably not a geniune Pavel walking knot.

I have 4 Pavel rope tricks they are all of the highest quality, and expertly made. What you bought was not a real Pavel rope trick. Every trick that I've ever seen of his was made of 3/8" rope.

I have the "Simplified Super Walking Knot" and love it! I haven't heard about "Krazy Knot". Can anyone briefly descibe it? Thanks!

You should have gotten instructions for krazy knot with the walking knot. I have the junior walking knot, so here's the routine after you finish the walking knot routine you begin to fill the rope with over hand knots, then you claim that you can make all the knots disappear. You then reattach the watch-a-ma-call-it elsewhere, and all of the knots fall off into your top hat, the audience laughs at the lameness of krazy knot, the finale is when you make all the knots reappear, and then successfully pop each knot off until you have the original rope restored. If you have the simple walking knot all you really need to buy is the krazy knot finale. If anything I told you is unclear email Pavel, or Danny Archer.

I mentioned earlier about my great buy on eBay (Pavel's Walking Knot for $40) but for intimate performances I prefer Jim Steinmeyer's "Knot Unexpected:

In this great effect the rope is unprepared so I can use spectators to hold the rope. The Walking Knot for stage and Knot Unexpected for smaller venues...a winning combination!

What is the difference between Jr. walking knot and simplified walking knot? Also, can the Jr. version be done between 2 chairs?

Thanks in advance and sorry for digging up an old topic!

The junior walking knot is 8 feet long, I do it with the business end in front of me, and the other end around my neck, but it has the same three you know what's as the simplified walking knot which is 16 feet long.

Pete,

Knot Unexpected is a Jim Steinmeyer dealer item. I don't believe it is in print.
