Emanmagic5,
I only have the Super Walking Knot, but I believe you will just have to move the chairs closer together. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Andy

There is no set way to do the junior walking knot the trick is 74" long, so if you keep the chairs within 5 feet of each other it is doable. If you email Pavel he will get back to you quickly.
When I do the "junior walking knot" I follow it with Paven's "Krazy Knot", and I finish the routine with the "Krazy Knot finale" which surprises everybody. The first two are done with the same piece of rope, and the finale is a separate piece.

I disagree with you
Have you seen the "Cyril Takayama" version, where he uses the super and does it silent to music? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFzRrrt04Uw Tony |

Hola Tony
Welcome to the magic Café. I'm not sure who you are disagreeing with, but Cyril does the walking knot just like Pavel demo's it, and I can't tell if Cyril is using the "super" walking knot, or the "simplified" walking knot.

Cyril should be using the Simplified Walking Knot, as it does not require him to stop at any particular position called out by the audience. One of the biggest problem I face with my super walking knot is that if the knot is too tight when you slide it, it may tend to cause some of the ***** in between to come off! That happened a couple of times to my act and a couple of other magicians.
If it were done in a silent act version, I think that the Simplified set would be safer. |

Hello,
I remember seeing Harry Anderson do the Super Walking Knot, I think it was on Letterman, a long time ago. That was the routine that got me interested in doing the trick. Does anyone know where or if there is a video available of this on-line?
Regards,

I use the super walking knot in a comedy routine - it works very well. But you're right - if you tie the knot too tightly it can be dangerous! Just remember to have an "out"...

Would love to revive this old thread and see if anyone is doing good with this routine today in 2016/2017. I have just purchased a Super knot set from Pavel and I am beginning to explore this routine.
