You all are trying to ripoff my signature piece- torn and restored gerbils. The hardest part was finding the battery operated blender.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, you guys have actually got me laughing so hard I have tears rolling down my cheeks. My wife is calling out from the next room to see what the fuss is all about!

I was going to respond (in a silly way ofcourse) to some of the Gerbil comments, but I've decided to just enjoy them without interferring in any way.

Keep up the good work, too much sillyness is never enough. And if you don't believe me, take a look at the 'How much is too much' thread.

Cheers

The best thing any kid can say after a show is that "you're silly or Your're funny" I get that a lot cause it is the style of personna I carry on when doing my kid's shows. I enjoy making them laugh and having fun with them. When a kid says that to me, I know I am doing am good job.

During one routine at the 'give kids the world' village, I decided to reproduce a vanished silk from this one kid's baseball cap, so I took it off....not knowing that the cap was bobby-pinned to her wig! (she was undergoing some sort of cancer treatment)

I have used Tape as a Crowd Control but after reading the beginning posts, I may have to switch to something else, say...Rope???

I did a Cut & Restored rope routine once and sliced my hand just above the thumb. The kids thought it was part of the act, but the birthday parent went balistic and went to find a band-aid. I never leave home without 'em in my Saddle Bags now.

Another time, I had my trunk set on the floor. Inside, I had prepared the Ink to Water & Goldfish illusion. I was in the middle of my act when I looked down at my trunk, and saw the li'l fishy had jumped clean outta the glass and was flip-flopping across the floor. Luckily, the trunk blocked the view of what was taking place and I was able to scoop him up and put him back into the glass and finish the show.

Merry Christmas Ya'll!

Rope works sometimes, but very young kids, and hyper mischievous older ones as well, will try and play with it.

I use it sometimes and what I do is run it across the flooor and secure it at either side, the tighter it's made the better. If there is nothing to tie it too, put a chair at each end and pick 2 kids to be your very responsible helpers, who's job it is to sit on the chairs.

G'day, mate! Feel free to jump on the gerbil thing or any other thing here. We're just tossing the poor bugger around for our own enjoyment!

Clive brings up a great point. If you are going to use rope or tape, have at leats 2 adults there that can assist you with trouble makers etc. That is just a smart move at any kid's show.

Poor gerbils. Going to get gerbil hate mail now hehe

Poor Michael. Hey maybe you can sit down with the gerbils and have a meeting of the minds. Come to an agreement over gerbil issues and rights. OR maybe you can have them help you with your adevrtising.

For a small bit of food daily (provided by you) they will dig in others yards and pop up carrying signs that has your information on it. Hmmm there is an idea here. hehehe Not a very good one but an idea none-the-less. lol

My god how did we get to this subject of gerbils anyways? Were going to get hate mail from P.E.T.A. hehehe
