Hello. I'm performing for a company producing paper shortly and would like to focus on the parlour "paper magic." I have some ideas but still asking for some suggestions when it comes to paper magic.
Thanks up front. Pavlo |

I agree that the Anderson paper tear is one of the best. I would also recommend two paper effects from Volume 4 of Richard Osterlind's Mind Mysteries. One effect is a signed torn and restored newspaper trick and the other is a signed torn and restored post it note. I really like both effects and I use the post it note effect in walk around and small stand up shows. It takes no set up and you can perform it with a borrowed post it pad. Let me know if you give these a try. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Walking Bob M |

Pavlo,
"Self-Working Paper Magic" [Karl Fulves] is worth checking out.

Carl Lewis does a great T&R with cigarette papers. Check his website for DVDs or lecture notes.
Dan Harland does a torn star from a napkin leaving a round hole (moon) called Starcle (?) Nice audience response. Just thought of another... using toilet paper! - Jeff McBride does a fountain from a wad of TP.. (I don't remember the name - TP (balls) over the head. great comedy potential. |

[/quote] You beat me to it... Dan Harlan's Staracle is great. I must have done it a thousand time and I am always pleased with the reaction. The star makes a great hand-out. But do yourself a favor, if you want to learn this effect buy Dan Harlan's Pack small play big all purpose show video. Staracle it hard to learn off written instructions, but watch the video a few times and you are set. What about something with flash paper to demonstrate how "HOT" their products are. |

Joel Bauer has a flash restoration newspaper. I believe it is superior to the Anderson tear.

Vinny,
I'll have to agree about Tony Slydini and his paper balls over the head routine. The rest of us try hard, but we're not Tony. And it still kills, even in our hands! Tony with his crooked smile, questioning eyes and unfailing sense of timing will always be the Master. I would really appreciate it if you would PM or email me about about the benefits of the Joel Bauer method over the Anderson Tear and Restoration. Except for prep time, I'm missing something. (Old guys change slowly! Apparently we need all the time we can get.) Bob Magic By Sander |

Try the Slydini's paper ball over head routine or paper chase, described in one of the aoa books.
