Hi everyone,

I was out of town in a magic shop today and came across some great books, many of which are out of print.

I have heard a lot about Dingle's Deceptions and I saw it there for $5.00. It was in shrink wrap so I didn't get a chance to open it and look at the material inside, so I was wondering if anyone has a quick review of the effects included in the book.

I should have bought it but I wasn't sure if the material was ideal for table hopping.

Thanks in advance,

Tj

For $5.00 if it only had Derek Dingle's picture on it it would be worth it.I have the book and contains some great material and you cannot go wrong for that price.

The effect is the important thing, how you achieve it is not.......

It is writen by probably one of the worst teachers of, entertainer with, author on close up card magic ever, but aside from that, the magic is first rate.

I have a sentimental fondness in me about this booklet. It was one of my first "hard core" magic books and I just really loved it. Great magic; one of my favorite magic booklets.

Mike

P.S. I recently discovered that Dingle release a companion video tape by the same name and in which he perfromes each of the effects in the booklet. This proved a great help to me as I could now envision exactly what he was trying to do in each effect and I got to see his pacing and framing, etc.
Magic is a vanishing Art.

This must not be Kansas anymore, Toto.

Eschew obfuscation.
