Please, could you tell me where you get insurance for doing shows? Do you need any?

If you are in the U.S., you can get insurance from the World Clown Association. Not very expensive and well worth every penny to protect yourself and your clients.

I get mine thought the S.A.M., and it has been great for me. Because I work festivals and larger events, in most cases these people will request a copy of my insurance form before I even ask about it. It just goes to prove that people do ask for them, and we should carry them if we can.

Just got my insurance renewal form today and I am signing up ASAP. I can not stress how important it is to have liability insurance as a performer.
