I have done a search and read numerous posts about Misers Dream. There seems to be some agreement that Jeff McBride is a very good resource. (I love the Al Flosso style)
Here is my question: If I were to buy one McBride DVD to learn Misers Dream. Which one should it be? Thanks in advance for your inpus and comments. |

Mrj,
It is Jeff McBrides world class manipulation Vol. 1. You can get it from L&L Publishing. Their web site is : http://www.llpub.com/ Or you might check out the magic warehouse at : http://www.themagicwarehouse.com/ I hope this helps!! Best, Jeff

I suggest you get the Amateur Magician's Handbook by Henry Hay. There is a chapter devoted to everything about the Miser's Dream.

2 other good resources are Coin Magic by J.B. Bobo and John Carney's chapter in the Book of Secrets.

Bobo's has the dinifinitve work on the misers dream. Charlie Miller's routine is the one that Carney and McBride based their routines on.

I love the version that was in MAGIC Magazine recently (The Roy Benson issue I beleive). You have a clear bucket and the hand can be seen empty through the bucket.

Thanks for everyones help. I already have Bobo's book although it is the soft cover +/- 350 pg. edition and I understand Charlie Miller's version is in the expanded edition.
I will work with this for now and hope to get the Jeff McBride DVD in the near future. thanks again, Marc |

What Bobo's book?
You mean Jean Bobo - Modern coin magic, or another one? |

I see. I have it to!
The book is very good. But reading the book and having some DVD's it is very different. Whatching the DVD or VHS you learn faster. |

Wmhegbli:: Wrong again and too quick on the draw. In the Revised Edition, 1978 printing, by Magic, Inc, Hardback, it is on page 433, with a thanks courtesy of Genii. Therefore, a) it is in the Revised Edition, and b) the Genii it was in most likely predates the 1966 copywrite. Glad to set the record straight.
