I have heard about this effect, but have not yet seen a video on it. It seems like a nice trick, but I'm not sure if I want to get it. Any thoughts (does it look good, is it worth the money, etc.)?

I work at a magic store, and the first day the trick came in I had my hands all over it. I bought one, and have since then had to buy 10-15 packs of refils, just because I am always doing this beautiful little trick. I always get a great response, and often times am asked to do it again. We cannot keep this item in stock at the shop. They come in and we sell out of them. It is really a great trick, and you send the audience away witha a really great souvenir!
NICE! DON'T MISS OUT ON IT! |

Question: How different is the marketed effect from Simon Aronson's published version (in one his books - cannot immediately recall the book's name).

I saw a video demo of the affect and was dissapointed. The first thing I didn't like is the fact that i figured it out the first time I watched it (I usually never purchase a trick that is that obvious to me at least). Another thing that I didnt like was the fact that in the trick you need to put the card in the breast pocket, and take it out again, it looked very much like swith a roo, but less convincing. if you want to see the video, go to simon aroson's site, http://www.simonaronson.com/

I'm delighted to completely disagree with your "dislike" - - - this is a strong, very commercial effect . . . with an excellent theme, and a great give-away.
No, you need not put the instruction card in your breast coat pocket . . . the possibilities for handling that are numerous. Sometimes, we think too much like magicians . . . thinking method, when we should be focusing on the effect. "Side-Swiped" is a winner by any set of criteria I can concoct. |

For a restaurant worker is there any reset you have to do before you go to the next table?
Thanks George |

I think the reset would be minimal.

Kard16,
I tried the URL you listed but all I got was a web page that provided an email hotlink. I'dlike to get some info on this effect--including price for the effect, and, more imoretantly, the cost of the refilss and how many cards are included in a refill set. Thanks for any info. Mike
