If it's the same, Practical calls it the "Skip and Snip". I use it a lot, and it goes down well especially with the older kids. It is also a good jaw dropper for the adults.

It is one of those classic effects that once learned, can be adapted into numerous patters and presentations that you can use to customize any performance. I use this and professors Nightmare all the time when I want to customize a routine to fit a certain client.

I checked out practical Magic but didn't see it. Maybe I missed it. Is it called "Skip and Snip"? Do you know of any US dealers that sell it?
Thanks. |

For an encyclopedia of rope stuff, one might try the Stewart James book put out by Abbott's.
I think it was called Abbott's Encyclopedia of Rope Tricks. A version of the jump rope might be in there. Or you could just skip the research and buy it from sites posted above. Harris Deutsch Laughologist

Funemagic, it's on the kid's magic page right down the bottom (the tricks are in alphabetical order).
There are some fine looking routines on that site! |

Great Scott had a nice one on his DVD, back when he used to roam around these parts. I don't think either of them are available though (he or the DVD).
