OK. So I have read several posts to the effect that one should not uses fire effects because they could get you arrested or worse. seems that in today's litigation happy society anything that hints of fire can get the authorities rushing in on you.
With that in mind, I'd like to ask: Where exactly CAN one perform fire effects without fear of being locked up? perhaps in a bar? Oh, I forgot, they are out lawing smoking in bars, so lighting something up will probably be a definite no no. So what does that leave. let's se. any public building is probably out. Restaurants are not the proper place. Schools. HEAVENS no!! Not with children present! So if public buildings are out, maybe that leaves ...MY OWN HOME. Problem is that not too many people are coming here to see effects, so I will probably have a long wait. But I have the feeling that the answers to this thread will probably make for a very short thread. But go ahead and name these places anyway, because I have some KILLER effects that involve fire and flash paper that I am dying to try out. I just don't want to inspire the wrath of the authorities in doing it.

I still do Torch thru arm as part of my BIRTHDAY SHOW. Usually with the kid's mom that hired me. She loves it because it leads into swords thru head w/dad. These are in private homes or backyards. I have not had a problem in a resturant or catering hall when brought in for a private party.
I guess the issue is really on the mind of those opening up thier facility to the public. THey have no upside as they see it and only downside.
