1. Albert Goshman
2. Al Goshman 3. Goshman No one else deserves to be on the same list as Goshman. To understand this, you would have to have seen him in person when he was doing his act in a tuxedo twice a day at the Castle for several years in the mid-sixties. If you weren't so fortunate to have been there at that time and place, you can only see his video, shot when he was long past his prime, suffering from severe rheumatoid arthritus in his hands, with the wrong kind of audience, not dressed in his old style, and generally ill. Never-the-less, you can catch a glimpse of the brilliance of his choreographed misdirection, wit, and unsurpassed skills. Get the video. Best regards, Glenn Godsey |

Add John Carney to my list. He has me amazed for a long time with his coin work.
However, my all time favorite is Dean Dill for three reasons, he is: 1)totally natural, 2) diabolically clever, and 3) smooth as silk. You should see his new coin through glass! He tells me it's almost ready for release. He's been working on every detail for about a year and a half. It started off amazing, but the final product will be astounding! Prepare for another explosion from Dean Dill!
Mediocrity is greatly under rated!

Roth...IMO has to be #1. He truly paved the way for all close up coin magicians.
Dr. Rubenstein...his videos (starting many yrs. ago), had a big influence on my work. Bertini...Very original, elegant...beautiful coin magic. Other favorites...Kainoa, Latta, Gallo, Kam, Kenner, Liwag, Kurtz...way too many to name...can I pick 10? |

1. Al Schneider-perhaps the all time best, makes everything look like magic
2. Albert Goshman-the salt shaker routine alone puts him and the list 3. Tony Slydini-the one of the 3 that I unfortunately never saw live but the videos and books of him are great. Gil Scott |

How about:
Al Goshman David Stone Mickey Silver These guys are all great and quite unique. I'd put them up against just about anybody with what they do.
