Ok here is my problem, I have airborne from any bottle and I use it in my Tux magic show as part of my romantic routine with wine bottle and gobblet I now have a cup and I want to put it in my clown show Routine: needing to get a glass of water after an effect. I then go into talking to the kids about how good water is for them letting the bottle go counting (holding up fingers) the reasons ie.1.good for you teeth 2. bones etc. THE BIG PROBLEM......when I see the cup floating and I'm surprised..what do I say? whats the funny reason this happend? Can any of my magical brothers and sisters out there assist me w/ this?

For the adults, you could give it a sniff and give a big surprised reaction.

I use the airborne in my shows as well.
Like you, I let go of the glass and keep talking (meanwhile the kids are going crazy), but I don't look at the glass until I've taken hold of it again. I then put the bottle away and press on with the show competely oblivious that anything strange has happened. I find this works an absolute treat for me. Good luck. |

Unless in a wine bottle, I think the spout looks odd in any other bottle. Your thoughts?

I agree - it has to a spirit bottle since the spout is a spirit pourer.

When you say good for your bones good for your teeth etc. ...but if you drink too much you may start to float. If you can do a Balducci levitaion at the same time, you've got something!

I'm agreeing with Billy on this one. It plays the effect if you don't realizze that anything has happened. When I perform this "feat", I usually hold the glass, then when I let it go...i just scratch my head like I had an itch. People will notice when you let go and the bottle I suspended mid-air.
Another good thing, is when you're doing the counting reasins why water is good for you, say your number one and number two, but when you get to number three...pretend you can't think of it. Then scratch your head as if you're trying to remember. Then say somehting like "Ohhhh.. I don't know.....It's just good for ya!". The audience will catch the humor and the magic. Try it once, you'll see what I mean! Robert New York

Tell them that water is 100% fat free. In fact, this brand is 110% fat free. Its called water lite....and then let go.

You could say something like drinking too much water can make your eyeballs float. And then look down and be surprised....

N.J.J. beat me to it....say something about it being 'lite soda!" The way I like to use it is to have the kids help me with a 'floatation effect' and the object I'm trying to get to float consistently fails do do so. Finally in despair I give up, and start pouring myself a drink, and I say "I cant's understand!! Those magic words should have made SOMETHING float!" as the glass now hovers in midair.
Everybody wants to beleive.....we just help them along.
