Who would you say are the most elegant performers? I would say Guy Hollingworth, Michael Vincent and Derren Brown.

Elegant magicians seem to be out of fashion. Call me old fashioned but I love to see an elegant magician performinig elegant magic.

If anyone performed more elegantly than Channing Pollock I have yet to see them.

If we are talking about cardmagic, and I suppose it because this is a forum called "Pick a card any card", my vote will go to:
Jean Pierre Vallarino Also my friend Rafael Benatar is a very elegant close-up magician too. Of course if we talk about other areas of magic, more names should appear, like Channing Pollock, Lance Burton, Fred Kaps, and others. But the most elegant cardmagician IMO is Vallarino. All the best magic, Pablo Tejero

Are we talking more recent preformers or any? I've seen many taped preformances of Cardini. With his white gloves and monicle, and of course great skills in manipulation. Now that's elegance!

Dan84,
Are you by any chance English? Just seein as you listed only british magicians! I would say that Rene Lavand is pretty elegant...his magic is brilliant as well! Jean Pierre Vallarino is very elegant also, and it is interesting to see how he blends this with his humour. His friend Carlos Vaquera also has a very strong and hansom (if that's a suitable word) way of performing. But at the top has to be Armando, especially when doing his coin routine...another person who makes the matrix routine elegant is Shoot Ogawa, and Dean Dill! |

How about Steve Cohen of Chamber Magic fame? I just saw his show on Friday and it was the very definition of elegance! It was also easily one of the best magical performance (or any kind of performance for that matter!) that I've seen. Ever.

Having seen him perform live, I'll second Rene Lavand.
From photos I'd say Channing Pollock looks elegant. |
