I am going to be the first to say David Regal and Harry Lorayne, as well as Jean Pierre Vallarino. David and Harry are by far my favorites!

James I definitely agree with David Regal & Harry Lorayne being two of my favorites, saw Harry lecture many years ago and it was one of the bect lectures I ever attended. David Regal is a very creative mind in magic.Adding to the list of elegant I would agree with many above,
1 - Channing Pollack
2 - Fred Kaps
3 - Martin Nash
4 - I would like to add Slydini also.

Channing pollock, channing pollock, channing pollock, channing pollock, channing pollock, channing pollock.
Need I say any more?
I have seen a video of guy hollingworth dealing himself four aces randomly spaced out in the middle of a pack.
I wouldn't say you can be elegant with close up cards but I would describe hollingworth as clean, polished and an a guy with good patter

I would agree with Jay Sankey and add Sylvester the Jester for elegance - The way he rips his eyeballs out is like poetry...

I vote for Martin Sanderson, Cody Fisher, and David Regal (not in order).
