I would have to say Jhonny Ace Palmer and Jay Sankey, Yes I said it to Jay Sankey. He maybe goofy and off the wall but if anyone has seen his card and or coin work he is truly elegant and not to mention one of the nicest magicians around
OMG Did someone say Richard Sanders!?

For contemporary magicians I would say Vallarino and Hollingworth. Of the ancients, probably Polluck and Cardini.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned James Dimmarre. His "Fred Astaire" act was extremely elegant, and played all over the world.

Y'know, you wouldn't think "Guy Hollingsworth" was that common a name. I just did a Google search of it and found some odd graph that didn't make a lot of sense and a notice about the Texaco Eurasian Chairman who's name was "Guy Hollingsworth."

Yes I was kidding about the blaine thing, but you know who's really working there way into my liking and I think of him as being elegant?
Criss Angel Just watch the show (Mindfreak) Yes he dresses somewhat differently has the long hair and black make up but wath him in action. Sure some of his effects might come off as being slightly grotesque however watch him in action. The Smoothness, the ease of listening to him speaking, highly trained sleight and close up and an excellent ability to pull off illusions as well as very unique performance. Top qualities in elegance right there. There it is that's my vote

For me it's a toss-up between Rene Lavand and Ricky Jay.
