Is there a deck of cards on the market that is designed to do card magic for kids? Maybe with cartoon characters, etc? I did a quick search here and didn't really see anything.

Thanks.

The US Playing Card Company sells a number of decks which are real playing card decks, only with cartoon characters on them. They also have Harry Potter Playing cards. So you can end up with the Ace of Scooby, or the 7 of Snape. The parents get a laugh when you name the cards this way.

I haven't bought from this place, but they carry all kinds of playing cards:

Enjoy.

Even most dollar stores or toy stores will carry cards that have letters on them or animals on them. I also got a few at US Toy company. They have an online presence. You might also try Oriental Trading Company.

Years ago, when I owned a shop (magic and trading cards), I would make up trick decks using sports cards, comic cards, etc., and sell to a few. Check out some of the comic and card shops, and you will find that trading cards come in many varieties.

I know there was a kid cards trick deck put out a while ago.

I use Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and just do basic card sleights with them.

Check out Target in the toy section where they will carry a variety of cartoon character cards made by US Playing Card Company. I have two decks with Warner Bros. characters and Peanuts characters that I bought there.

Are these poker sized cards?

Thanks.

All of the above suggestions are good. Also most magic shops would probably carry "Y" decks (I know Magic Inc, Chicago, does). That's a force deck of "Y" cards. The child is asked to pick a card which is lost in the deck and then the rabbit or duck will find the card, but first the child has to tell what the card is, so we will know if it is correct. The performer acts as if he is hearing "Why", when the child repeatedly says "Y". This can be a very funny bit of business.

PROFED,

I like it! I have a wind up frog from an old effect called Hop-Along-Pete and was trying to find a new use for Pete.

Thanks,

Anyone from Australia have any ideas of where to find playing cards with animals or cartoons?
